MIX: Energy panellist: Mark Lemmon, Executive Vice Chairman at MENA Infrastructure

lemmonMark is the Executive Vice Chairman of MENA Infrastructure, a $300m fund, established in September 2007, which has invested in a container port operation in Egypt (2008), an IPP (2009) and IWPP (2013) in Oman and an IPP in Saudi Arabia (2012), which is the largest combined cycle gas fired plant anywhere in the world. The Mena Infrastrucure Fund 1 is now in divestment mode, having completed the sale of the first two of its portfolio holdings in the first quarter of 2016.

Mark was Chief Executive of the MENA Infrastructure Fund from April 2008 to July 2014 and was previously Deputy Chief Executive of HSBC’s global project and export finance business, responsible for growing that business to a pre-eminent position in infrastructure and energy finance.
An investment banker for more then 30 years, he has substantial experience of infrastructure investment, business development and winning and executing financing mandates across transportation, social infrastructure, and the power, water and energy sectors throughout the Middle East, Europe and other regions.
Mark is a chartered accountant and holds a masters degree in finance from the London School of Economics.
